TrimUI Brick Pro Launches With Dual Sticks and Bigger 3D Ambitions

The follow-up to the cult-favourite Brick adds analog sticks and more power, pushing toward heavier 3D systems.

TrimUI’s follow-up to its widely-praised Brick handheld — the Brick Pro — has launched, adding the feature the original most conspicuously lacked: dual analog sticks, along with more horsepower aimed at heavier 3D libraries.

What’s new

The Pro upgrades the Brick formula with dual sticks and additional performance, and early footage suggests it’s capable of pushing toward more demanding 3D systems, which points to an Android-based design. The build quality and the well-regarded CrossMix OS setup that made the original a favourite appear to carry over.

Why it matters

The base Brick earned a devoted following for its premium feel and newcomer-friendly software, but its lack of sticks capped what it could comfortably play. The Pro directly addresses that ceiling, opening up systems that need a second analog input.

The Brick Pro is the device for everyone who loved the Brick but kept bumping into its limits.

The fine print

As with many devices at this end of the market, expect a little setup overhead and the occasional minor QC quirk — early adopters of the original sometimes had to make tiny physical adjustments to a button or two. None of it has dented the line’s strong reputation.

Where it sits

Against an R38S, the Brick Pro is a more powerful, more flexible, more expensive Android proposition. For buyers who want reach into heavier 3D and don’t mind Android’s overhead, it’s an exciting launch. A full review will follow once we’ve spent real time with retail hardware.
